Coyotes are a canine species native to North America. It is smaller than its close relative (the wolf) and slightly smaller than the closely related Eastern wolf and Red wolf. It fits essentially the same ecological niche as the golden jackals in Eurasia. Its characteristic voice is a howling that comes from lonely people. It has 19 recognized species and is listed as being of least concern by the International Union for Conservation of Nature due to its diverse distribution and abundance throughout the United States and Canada. The life system is versatile that is capable of adapting to changes in habitat that are modified on humans. The bird was first encountered in the Eastern Province in 2013.

The coyote is a medium-sized carnivore found throughout much of the United States and Canada.
Coyotes are social, colonial, and crepuscular mammals. They live in a wide range of habitats, from heavily wooded land to tundra and deserts, and are common in cities and suburbs.
Coyotes breed throughout the year, but usually during the spring and summer, and have a litter of 1–4 pups once a year. Coyotes are omnivores, eating many types of foods, including small animals, carrion, birds, fruits, nuts, and grasses.

Coyotes are most active at dawn and dusk, but they may hunt at any time. They hunt by stalking or ambushing prey, and prey on smaller animals such as rabbits, squirrels, birds, and reptiles. Coyotes may scavenge, but scavenging is less significant than other food sources. Coyotes also can hunt larger prey, such as livestock and deer, but may avoid this due to competition with resident wolves.

Coyotes are opportunistic hunters and will eat carrion, leftover food, or refuse. Coyotes will attack larger animals such as deer, sheep, or cattle, but they are not as successful as wolves in these hunts.
Coyotes are adaptable and opportunistic. Coyotes can survive in a variety of habitats, including urban environments and human-altered landscapes, and can thrive even in outer space.
Coyotes are widespread and common throughout much of the northern United States, southern Canada, Mexico, and Central America. Most coyotes live at least 40 miles (64 km) from the nearest large city. They are also known to survive

The coyote is a semiaquatic canid, closely related to wolves. It is typically brown or grey and is about 60 cm (24 in) tall at the shoulder. The coyote’s fur is variable in color and length and is its main defense against predators. It is characterized as an opportunistic omnivore, with a preference for lean meats. The coyote’s diet consists largely of rodents, rabbits, reptiles, birds, and eggs. It sometimes scavenges carrion, including that of domestic livestock.
